Eva Mildred Andrews Headstone Headstone of Eva Mildred Andrews. Eva is the daughter of James Ambus and Lucy Ellen (McIntosh) Andrews. James was a brother of my G-Grandfather on my Mother's side. Eva Mildred is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section with her parents and other kin. Eva was 3 years 8 months old when she died.
Headstone of Frank Porter Andrews Headstone of Frank Porter Andrews. Frank was my Grandfather on my Mother's side. He went down hill quick after my Grandmother died. He lost a leg to sugar problems, and after the doctors couldn't do anything else for him, my Mother took him home to her house to care for him. He died there at home peacefully, as he wanted. Grandpa is buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery next to my Grandmother, Mary Elizabeth (Richardson) Andrews.
Hellen Andrews Headstone Headstone of Hellen Andrews. Hellen was a sister of my Grandfather Frank Porter Andrews. She died shortly after giving birth to her son, Earl, of complications from the birthing. She was a young 20 years old. Hellen is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section near her parents and other kin.
Headstone of Irene Harriet (Andrews) Richardson. Irene was a sister of my Grandfather on my Mother's side. Irene married a Lacy Roland Richardson, a brother of her Sister-in-Law, my Grandmother, Mary Elizabeth (Richardson) Andrews. I don't remember much about Irene, only that she was a kind sweet lady. Irene is buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Headstone of James Ambus Andrews. James was a brother of my G-Grandfather William Cleveland Andrews. James is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section near his wife Lucy Ellen (McIntosh) and other kin.

Headstone of Jerome D. Pence. Jerome "Rome" was a Stepson of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews. My G-G-Grandmother was named Harriet (Whitlock) Andrews, and she was married to a James Pence before marrying Seth. Jerome is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Pence section with his wife and some of his children.
Headstone of J.D. Whitlock. James David Whitlock was the father of my G-G-Grandmother, Harriet Temperance Whitlock. It was from him that the property the Andrews of Richmond County settled upon was obtained. Harriet inherited the property. It is located in the southern end of Richmond County below Cordova. James David is buried at Mizpah Cemetery near the Andrews section of the cemetery.
Headstone of John Thomas Andrews. John was the 2-year old brother of my Grandfather Frank Porter Andrews. John died about 6 months before my Grandfather was born. John is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section near his parents and other kin.
Headstone of Lucy Ann Andrews. Lucy was the infant sister of my G-Grandfather William Cleveland Andrews. She was just 2 months old when she died. She too is buried at Mizpah Cemetery with her parents and other kin.
Headstone of Maude Delia Andrews. Maude was the first born child of my G-Grandfather William Cleveland Andrews. She was only 3 months old when she died. She is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.

Headstone of Mattie Gertrude Andrews. Mattie was the last born of my G-G-Grandfather Seth and his wife Harriet. Mattie died in infancy. She was 1 year 2 days old. She is buried at Mizpah Cemetery near her parents.
Headstone of N. Herbert Andrews. Nicholas was a son of James Ambus and Lucy Ellen Andrews. James was a brother of my G-Grandfather William Cleveland Andrews. Nicholas was 19 years old when he died. Nicholas is buried at Mizpah Cemetery near his parents.
Headstone of Pearson Moore Whitlock. Pearson was a nephew of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews and his wife Harriet Temperance (Whitlock). Pearson's Father Thomas Moore Whitlock married Seth's sister Sallie Andrews, and Seth married Thomas Moore's sister Harriet. Pearson is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.
Headstone of Sallie C. Andrews, a sister of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews. Sallie married Thomas Moore Whitlock, a brother of Seth's wife Harriet. Sallie is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.
Headstone of Sarah Elizabeth Whitlock. Sarah was a daughter of Pearson Moore Whitlock who was a nephew of my G-G-Grandfather Seth. Sarah was 4 years old when she died. She is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.

Headstone of Seth Andrews. Seth was my G-G-Grandfather. He was a Civil War Veteran as indicated on his headstone. He married Harriet Whitlock and moved to Richmond County to land that Harriet had inherited. Seth is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section near his wife Harriet and many of his descendants. The coordinates of his gravesite is Latitude 34 degrees 53' 52"N, Longitude 79 degrees 46' 53"W.
Headstone of Temperance (Moore) Whitlock. Temperance is my G-G-G-Grandmother. She was the wife of James David Whitlock and the mother of my G-G-Grandmother Harriet (Whitlock) Andrews. Temperance is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section near her husband J. D. Whitlock.
Headstone of Thomas Moore Whitlock. Thomas was my G-G-Granduncle. He married Sallie Andrews, the sister of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews. Thomas is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.
Headstone of Ula Mae Whitlock. Ula was the infant daughter of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews' Nephew, Pearson Moore Whitlock, who was the son of Seth's sister, Sallie (Andrews) Whitlock. Ula is buried in Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.
Headstone of Arthur T. Whitlock. Arthur was the young Nephew of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews. He was the son of Seth's sister Sallie Andrews, who was married to Seth's wife's brother, Thomas Moore Whitlock. Arthur died in infancy. He was 1 year, 7 months, 20 days old. Arthur is buried in Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.

Thomas Jefferson Andrews Headstone of Thomas Jefferson Andrews and wife Ruth. His footstone is here. Thomas was my Great Uncle, and before his death, was the last surviving sibling of my Grandfather, Frank Porter Andrews. Thomas served during WWII in Europe. As of this writing, his wife Ruth is still living. Thomas is buried at Richmond Memorial Park.
Charles Pence Headstone Headstone of Charles O'Neill Pence, son of Jerome & Mary Elizabeth Pence. Charles was the Grand Stepson of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews, being the son of Robert Jerome Pence, the son of Seth's wife Harriet from her first marriage to James Pence. Charles died as a baby, and was only 10 months 25 days old when he died. Charles is buried at Mizpah Cemetery in the Pence section.
Elsie Andrews Headstone Headstone of Elsie E. Andrews. Elsie was the daughter of James Marvin and Lucy Jane (Yates) Andrews. James was the son of James Ambus Andrews, a brother of my Great Grandfather William Cleveland Andrews. Elsie was a teenager when she died, being 15 years 19 days old. Elsie is buried in Mizpah Cemetery in the Andrews section.
Ina Mattie Yates Headstone Headstone of Ina Mattie Yates, daughter of Isaac Douglas and May Bloomer (Andrews) Yates. May Bloomer (Andrews) Yates was the daughter of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews. Ina is buried in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Headstone of Jesse C. Gardner Headstone of Jesse C. Gardner. Jesse was the Father of Raymond Thomas Gardner who married a daughter of James Ambus and Lucy Ellen (McIntosh) Andrews. James was a brother of my G-G-Grandfather. Jesse is buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The epitaph on the stone reads: "Tis hard to speak the tender chord when love has found the heart, tis hard so hard to speak the words, we must forever part".

Headstone of Sarah Wilma Gardner Headstone of Sarah Wilma Gardner. Sarah was the wife of Jesse C. Gardner above. I haven't found Sarah's maiden name. Sarah is also buried next to her husband at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Headstone of Mary A. (Pence) Pierce Headstone of Mary A. (Pence) Pierce. Mary was the daughter of Jerome "Rome" Pence, a stepson of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews. His wife Harriet (Whitlock) was married to a James Pence before she married Seth. Jerome was the second born of James and Harriet (Whitlock)Pence.
Headstone of Mollie Elizabeth (Porter) Andrews Headstone of Mollie Elizabeth (Porter) Andrews. Mollie was my Great Grandmother on my Mother's side. My Grandfather, Frank Porter Andrews was named "Porter" after Mollie. Mollie is buried in Mizpah Cemetery next to her husband William Cleveland Andrews.
Benjamin Franklin Porter Headstone of Benjamin Franklin Porter. Benjamin was my G-G-Grandfather on my Mother's Father's side. He is buried next to his wife Eliza (Gaddy) in Mizpah Cemetery. The coordinates of his gravesite is Latitude 34 degrees 53' 52"N, Longitude 79 degrees 46' 53"W.
Headstone of William Seth Andrews Headstone of William Seth Andrews. William was a brother of my Grandfather Frank Porter Andrews. My Grandfather's brother Tom told that Seth loved to hunt with his dog Mary Jane. He killed a duck one day, and it fell into a pond. Seth went into the water to retrieve the duck and got wet. He caught pneumonia and died. He was 20 years, 3 months and 2 days old. Seth is buried at Mizpah Cemetery next to his Father and Mother.
David Pence Headstone Headstone of Madge Pence. Madge was a daughter of Robert Jerome "Rome" Pence. Robert was a stepson of my G-G-Grandfather Seth Andrews by the first marriage of his wife Harriet (Whitlock) to a James Pence. Madge is buried in the Pence section of Mizpah Cemetery.
